I was a cadet Sergeant in the Almaguin Air Cadets when Don Dorst, Joe DiProfio senior and the crew started putting a serious effort into this airport. It's certainly come a long way. And I am very proud of the beginning efforts that have allowed it to reach to this point. It's looking more and more like a higher altitude 'Gateway to The North'. Congratulations.

As Chair of the Committee representing the Village and Municipal owners of this 76 year old airport I can assure you that we are all working hard to aquire the funding to hard surface our runways. Grant applications are being prepared to provide funds to contract a professional Development Plan. The purpose is to build a modern airport facility to assist and encourage private investment which in turn will create badly needed jobs and training schools. Attracting flying tourists from U.S. and Canada is another.
The more support we can get, the more chance of developing a modern self supporting airport facility.

Excellent job at promoting this gem of a municipal airport. I will have to come and visit soon as it has been awhile since I last visited.

This is one of the best web sites that I have seen to promote an airport.

It's a great website and I'm glad to see the varied comments. I look forward to the May 8th Fly-In.
The 100th Anniversary of Flight celebration was terrific!
It was a really enjoyable learning experience to be a committee member representing Joly township for several years. I hope the current committee's plans can move forward.
